Brother and Sister Mating?

fluffy_kinns May 02, 2005 06:16 AM

ok we are about to get two new kittens (brother and sister) and am very excited but a friend told me something which put an end to this excitement. A friend told me that as they are male and female when it comes to the mating season regardless of whether they are brother and sister they will still mate.

We are going to get them spayed and neutered anyway but i really don't want to see them humping eachother. lol i hope she's wrong but thers still a possibility. If she is then i want to get two girls or two boys.

PLEASE TELL ME SHE IS WRONG!!!

Nope, I don't think she is. My sibling kitties would mate, but then that was because we didn't get the female spayed before she came into heat for the first time. The male was neutered but we had to save up to get her spayed. Sooo...it was disturbing to see him mount her! We would always make them stop, but ewww!

I doubt you will have a problem with if they are both fixed though. So no worries!

Sorry, but she is right. They will mate with each other, their father or their Mother or any other cat that happens by. Cats are not all that picky when it comes to mating.
