xXsnowboarder_gi Aug 12, 2005 04:59 PM

my dad is a cop in another town and he was getting ready to leave and a kid came up to him and gave him a kitten and told him he found her under a bush and his mom wouldn't let her keep him. so my dad brought her home and we decided to keep her. poor thing is 3-4 weeks old and was COVERED in fleas. i got all of them off well atleast all i could find. i have a 5 month old cat already and he wants to play with her but he plays to rough for her. she pays no attention to her at all but he still is hissing and growling when u pick him up. is she old enough to be away from her mother? what should i name her, she is grey with a white belly. really cute. thanks if u reply

I would give the kitten a bath in a mild dawn dish soap and water mixture. Then rinse really well. That should kill the fleas. Don't use any flea products on her yet she is to young. Set her up in a bathroom with litter box, food and water. Let her get used to the house.
After about a week you can try to introduce her to your 5 month old cat.

LOL that is going to be confusing when you call them. They will probably both come running. I am glad the Pepper likes Piper.
Hopefully Piper will come around soon.
Here are some pictures of my cats

Crash (7 yrs old),

Moxie (4 yrs old),

Tucker (4 yrs old),

Gabby 2 years old

Mya seven yrs old

Last two pictures of baby Gabby and baby Tucker.

Sounds like all is going well. Don't forget to have the new kitten vet checked to make sure all is well with her
