kitten's new hobby

jadzia Aug 22, 2005 07:37 AM

When I'm home I put up a 2 1/2 foot high gate in the bathroom doorway so Zephy can see the rest of the world and my big boy, Orestes, can see him but not touch him. So the other day I went to sit at the table to have lunch, because eating in the bathroom just seems a bit unsanitary to me, and I hear a kerthunk . So I turn to see what new thing the baby has found to attack, and am quite surprised to see him on the wrong side of the fence looking rather proud of himself. And Orestes, who can't be in direct contact with the kitten untill it is tested for aids and luekemia, is sniffing him all over like "so that's what you smell like up close!".
Since he has realized he can do this he climbs any time I'm not with him on the otherside if he wants company. The next week and 1/2 should be fun.(he gets tested after that)

As a side note how much does the testing usually run? ( I always like to know if they're being fair)

Yep, that is certainly a kitten. And now he knows he can climb and jump and that it is fun to do so. Not to mention he knows that it gets him out!! Vets prices vary and mine is rather expensive but worth it to me. For the labs he runs about 38 dollars, vaccines about 12 dollars each and the medical exams are 30.00.

I know exactly how you feel about wanting to kow if your getting ripped off.
Have you ever considered pet insurance?
I have my 4 month old kitten and another cat insured and it has been great.
When i got my cat mya from the SPCA she was sooooo sick two days after i got her she spent a week in the hosptol and it ran me almost $800.
Its called VPI Veterinary pet insurance.
For Mya i have major medical....... so anything from urinary track infections to cancer they will covor halg or almost half. I pay like 15.57 a month

For my kitten i have full covarage. They covor all his shots exams, getting fixed every thing for a little over $20 a month.
I believe the phone number is 1800welovepets.

The amount you pay a month varies depending on how old.. any past history..so
