New Behaviour

bijou Dec 03, 2005 11:04 PM

Not sure if she is still considered a kitten but my baby bijou, who is now 1 1/2, has adopted a new behaviour recently. She takes a sock in her mouth and walks around with it crying like crazy. We are not sure if this is something that we should be concerned about or something that needs to be looked in. Is she really sad and trying to tell us something?
Thank you for your help,
Stephanie

I would not worry about it. Some cats do that. In fact I have an 18 year old, Onyx who has a little collection of sockies and they are apparently her "kittens". She carries them around to the food and water dishes and when she is moving one she makes a very odd meow. She has done this for years. In fact all 6 of her "kittens" sleep together in a pile on a certain chair and the cat that tries to move one had best find a good hiding place cause she will tear them up and then put the baby back with the others.

Thank you for your response. It is good to know that it is not something to be worried about. It is actaully quite cute when she does it...

Oh Evil Patches (11yrs old) does that to. It drive me nuts. I can never find a match for bf's socks. She steals them all.
Patches is the calico in the picture.
