My kitten is about to be 5 weeks old, she was abandoned by her mother. I have been trying to get her to wean for the last week and have tried every wet cat food, baby food, grull recipe and moistened dry cat food that I could get my hands on and she just doesn't like it. She won't even eat it off my finger. Any help?

I start my kittens off on canned food with kitten chow to snack on. I offer it at 4 weeks but don't force it. Keep offering it and try putting some of the canned on her little mouth so she has to lick it off. But don't force her to wean. She just isn't ready yet.

Thank you very much for the advice. I actually just kept trying different flavors of things and found that she liked some chicken baby food mixed with formula and rice cereal. She eats that fairly well, but I am still giving her the bottle sometimes. Again thanks for the advice and I have a picture posted so you can all see my little Lucy and her new family members.

Have you tried mixing some of the kitten formula into the wet food?
