OK, I have another question....

Stryder Jul 04, 2006 02:51 PM

When Darlene is ready to have her own little litter box, what is the best thing to use for litter.

For all my other cats, I use Arm & Hammer clumping litter. I would worry about her eating it and getting impacted, though. What's the safest thing to use for the baby in her first litterbox?

Thank'y for all the help you all have given me!!

Regular litter, not the clumping kind is best for a little one to use. I usually use the nonclumping of the same brand so that the transition is easier later.

If you want to stay away from clay litters and dust due to possible ingestion, try "Yesterday's News" litter. Most pet stores carry it. It's more pellet like so it can't be easily ingested and no dust.
