Interesting Behavior

EmmaB Jul 06, 2006 04:29 PM

My Husband and I recently adopted to adorable little fur babies. They are the sweetest little things. However, the little boy has exibited somewhat of a strange behaivor since the day we got him. He will make this loud crying noise at me. He looks right at me and keeps making this noise until I hold him. Sometimes he puffs up his tail if I don't pick him up right away. The second I do pick him up though, he starts purring away. The funny thing is he only does this to me and not my husband. He also does this at night if I shut the door to our bedroom. He was about 11 weeks old when we adopted him, so I don't think he was taken away from his mother too early. He has been checked by the vet, so I don't think there is anything physically wrong with him. Just curious about this behavior.

Awwwwwww, no, I don't think there is anything wrong with him, you just have the makings of a major lap kitty. And since most likely you are the one feeding him and paying attention to him, he is more attached to you. It is not uncommon for a furbaby to be more attached to one family member..after all, to him you are now mommy..relax and enjoy it..

The little darling loves you and the sweet little furball is very busy training you. It is called "when I cry, I get held and comforted". Trust me, it is a lesson that we all get taught in one way or another. Keep learning and enjoy him. There is nothing wrong with him He is a kitten and a very loving one!
