We adopted her a friend today. This little girl had never seen a cat before, so we were a tad bit worried about her reaction, bet she fell in love with Darlene at first sight. She's only been here a few hours, but they are best of buddies already.

We have not yet come up with a suitable name for the puppy. She's an Austrailian Shepherd/Pit Bull mix. She's a real laid back, sweet puppy. I am glad they are friends.

Thanks alot now I have major puppyitis and kittenitis. They are just to darn cute. I don't see the pit in your pup. Did you see the parents? We thought my girl Mya had pit in her when she was a pup. But as she grew she outgrow that. Now she looks like a kelpie or just a plain ol' lab mix. Anyway before you take her to the vet and say she has pit in her you may want to look up what breeds your home insurance won't cover than pick to breeds that are covered.
She almost looks like she could have some Catahoula in her. I see the aussie to in the markings. Such a cutie. You will have to tell us all about those two and the adventures they get in.

BTW how does Stryder like the new pup?

Actually, it was my vet who was fostering the mom and litter of pups. (At least I know they have been well cared for!) The mama is a big ol' red nose pit. This is the least pit-looking pup from the litter.

Knowing the laws in the area, I have paperwork from the vet listing her as an Aussie/AmStaff mix. I think she should be fine.

The biggest worry I had was that she'd never been around cats. However, she has been fantastic with them from the start. She'll cuddle with the ones that like her, leave the ones alone that want nothing to do with her, and has yet to give chase at all.

Today, almost all my cats are comming around, getting to where they will lay comftorbly in the same room with the pup.

We couldn't be happier!

Well, she does have that red gene, otherwise known as the TUDE gene.........lol

Seriously, she is gorgeous, and her new little friend is just adorable. It will be so much fun raising them together!
