New Kitten!!! Yay

fireladie Sep 25, 2006 12:16 AM

I bought I new kitten today! The only thing is that she came from a petstore (where i swore I would never buy pups or cats again). I came in to check out there cockatiels and saw this little kitten in the back of the glass case thingy, she was lethargic and just lying there (im guessing she was over heated)and had a glazed look. I bought her and tried to get her in the vet that day but he was really busy. I got her home and let her have some water. Thirty minutes later she was perky and attacking my feet! lol I named her Diesel. Anyways I found a picture on the net of her color (its kind of rare i think) http://www.sarendel.com/images/toby_sm.jpg
Thats her... but an oriental head and younger lol

Hi There,

Concats on the new addition!

I'm glad to hear that she perked up, but it's always a good idea to have a new baby checked out by a vet anyway. Get her started on shots, dewormed if needed, tested for FeLV. I know some pet shops are better than others but even if they said these things were done, I wouldn't believe them without documentation.

Just want to make sure the new baby gets a good start!

Please post pics when you can. She must be adorable!

Regards,
PHKitkat

Thanks for the concats! Diesel is going to the vet friday! I was lucky though, because If i had to buy from a petstore, I picked the one to buy from. They had all her records of her kitten shots, and wormings and gave them to me. Anyways she is doing good. I think that she was dehydrated, as it was soooo hot in the store it must have been murder in her cage. Well she is doing great. She is quite a personality and VERY smart for her age. If she wants me to play with her shoelace... she will bring it over to me and meow! lol If she is this smart now... i dont know what to do when she gets to be an adult. I will post pic soon! She is a bit camera shy.. and I dont want to push it.
