New Kitten will not drink

Hi there had a new Kitten two days ago but it will not drink water or milk! we been feeding it small amounts of whiskas kitten pouches when they are hungry any ideas

If the pouches are canned food then the kitten is getting some water from that. If the food is dry food and you are concerned and she/he really isn't drinking anything then you might want to have her checked by a Vet.

Hi There,

Any new cat or kitten needs to be vet checked anyway, so I recommend making an appointment. You need to find out if the kitten is healthy, start vaccines, or set up a schedule to start if the kitten is too young. Testing for Feline Leukemia is also a must.

I agree with WildCat. If you are feeding pouches of food containing a lot of water, you may not see the kitten drink. Please avoid offering milk, though. It will probably cause diarrhea, as most cats are lactose intolerant.
