First of all make sure that the kitten has kitten food. You may need to do some kitten proofing as he is small and can get about anywhere. Get some interactive toys like a feather on a stick to play with him with as well as some balls and stuffed mice. You may have to show the kitten the litter box several times before he gets the idea. If he has an accident put the results in the box and put him in there gently. He should catch on. Good luck with your new baby.

Congratulations on your new little kitty. I'm sure that you'll find that she adds so much love to your life.
My cat, Samantha, was only 6 weeks old when I got her. She was my first kitty ever. She spent the very first night hiding under my bed. I put her food, water and litterbox in my bedroom and shut her in the bedroom when I went to work for the first full day that I had her. When I came home from work, she was happy to see me and just purred her little heart out for me. This made me so happy and we immediately bonded. After that first day, I gave her full run of the house. It was just me and my kitty who lived here.
She taught me all about cats. One day I came home from work and she just kept meowing to me and then would turn around and walk toward the door. So I finally got up and followed her. She led me into the laundry room and stood by her empty food bowl and just meowed. I was amazed that a little 6 week old cat could teach me that cats can talk.
She's 9 years old now and has always been my constant companion. I now have 4 cats. They have added a dimension to my life that I never knew existed before.
I'm sure that you'll have a very loving relationship with your new kitty too. Please post some pictures of her. We love kitty pictures.
