I have a question about how much to feed.

The kittens are 7 months old now. Clark seems to be getting a pooch belly already. Nothing major, but a little extra there on his belly. Chloe is still as thin as always. Not overly thin, but just right. They have both been spayed and neutered now.

How much food should they get and how do I keep Clark from getting fat? Right now, I'm giving them a tablespoon of canned food in the morning, then 1/4 cup of food in each bowl in the morning and evening. They don't eat all their food when the get it, much munch all on that 1/2 cup. So, I'm not positive how much each one is getting.

Any thoughts on this?

Are you giving them kitten food or regular adult food? When you leave food out and allow them to graze, it is hard to tell if one is eating it all or if one is getting short-changed. As they're still young, the best thing is to increase Clark's exercise. Often cats loose that extra energy from hormones when they're spayed/neutered so tend to gain weight if the activity level isn't increased or the food intake reduced.

That doesn't sound like to much food, but it is hard to tell who is eating it. Clark may just be a bigger cat and due to his age has not filled out completely yet.

About what age are they considered full grown? I'm sure I can expect both of them to grow more?

It's been way to long since I raised a kitten.

About 8 months is considered adult, tho they may continue to grow some and fill out after that. Some of the larger breeds like Maine Coon might not reach their full size til age 3 or so.
