Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Liat and I are at war. Despite all my best efforts, she insists on scratching on LP record covers. I have tried so many different ways to stop this that I've lost count. The most annoying thing is she only does it when I am home. She has three other scratching devices and uses them willingly. I know the final option is move the records, but there is nowhere else to put them. Any and all suggestions welcome.

Despite this, she is still my furbaby and gets all the love she can handle.

Sounds to me like your smart little girl has found a new game: "If I scratch on these I can make him jump up and chase me. What fun!!"

I know, it's not amusing if it's your stuff...

Have you tried booby trapping them--with double sided sticky tape or something like that?

I've tried every booby trap I could think of. Covered them with plastic sheets, sticky tape, you name it. She is smart, all right, too smart for her own good sometimes. She gets yelled at, then wants to cuddle. She is a great brown-noser.
And how can you stay angry when you get that look? This is truly her only objectionable habit, otherwise she is the perfect housemate.

I think Carol is correct in her assessment.
I know you don't want to totally change your life, however how about if the albums get put totally away for awhile? It really does seem as if Lait is looking for attention.
Even though I don't play them, my LP's are important to me also.

SOME KITTIES ARE JUST TOO SMART!!
