Not a Tonk story, but ...

CarolEm&Ed Dec 14, 2005 05:13 PM

My neighbor--the one we convinced to adopt the sweet little stray that appeared in our neighborhood just over a year ago--called me the other morning. She was very worried about Maggie, she said, because she was staying upstairs on the bed and not coming down for breakfast according to her normal routine.

I told her not to worry and that Maggie was probably just moving into her winter mode.

Well, we were talking this morning and she said Maggie was still lingering upstairs in the morning and she was still a little concerned--although she seemed to be fine when she ultimately did come downstairs. Then she went on to tell me how much they were enjoying their new electric blanket, and that she was leaving it on low until Maggie got up each day.

Mystery solved.

That's cute...now if Maggie were a Tonk though...she would have been completely buried under the electric blanket!!!

Sounds to me like Maggie is as spoiled as any Tonk. Liat would not only be buried under the electric blanket, she would have figured out how to turn it up. I'm telling you, these creatures are too smart for their own good, or ours.

Still, gotta love 'em.
