Update on Your Cats

mskc Jan 17, 2006 10:46 AM

Hi All,

I know I am definately excited to share about my new new kittens, but I want to keep hearing about the grown-up babies. How are Finster, Eddie, Emily, Chris, Liat, Alastair and others?

Please keep us up to date. And who-ever mentioned Tonk running feet was correct - they are so loud when upstairs and we are down. Who knew such small things could sound like a herd.

Liat has been h*ll on wheels the past week. She discovered a new shelf to drag things off of. We are currently having discussions. Other than that, she is a normal Tonk, sounds like a herd of elephants running through the house, wants me to play ALL the time, you know the drill. I'm thinking about adding another, but I'm not sure the house is big enough for two Tonks and me.

Terry,

Liat is blessed to have such a patient and loving companion. I hope the "discussions" work.

I'm not helpful on decideing to get another tonk. Mine really play together well and keep each other entertained, but they could grow up to be trouble. Also since they have always been together they get along.

Good luck and wish you a great week.

I brought Eddie home almost exactly 6 months after Emily arrived. It took her a few days to decide that she didn't hate him, and they quickly became fast friends. Now they are inseparable. (I'll never forget the time Emily went to the vet for the day to have her teeth cleaned and Eddie stayed home. He wandered around the house yelling his little head off all day long.)
There is the sibling rivalry thing, however. They are both very aware of how much "lap time" the other cat gets. Since there is only one of me and there are two of them I have to be very careful to make sure that one doesn't get more attention than the other.

All is well here...Finster has recovered nicely from his obstruction and has put on 2.5 lbs...woo hoo...Alastair just turned 1 this month and is fatter than ever...and Bentley...my sweet sweet Bentley...who also hated his brothers when they first came in his life...survived this past year without eating anything stupid and requiring surgery!!!!
