Hi All,
I love my two babies, but Jake can be quit stinky. When he needs to go to the bathroom, it is like the smell just emits from his bottom.
Do you think he will out grow this smelly phase? He is getting bigger and is almost 5 months old.

Could be one of two problems:
1. Jake hasn't been neutered yet? Neutering will help resolve some of the odor issues in the urine.
2. Anal gland problems. Jake may benefit from a visit to the vet to make sure his anal glands are not impacted. If they do get impacted, the resulting infection is excrutiatingly painful.

Thanks! I looked into this and they say that loose stool can prevent these glads from being cleaned out. We've taken Jake off of wet food for a few days and given him a bottom scubbing. It has worked very well. Thank goodness, I'm glad I can hold my baby again.
