Jake and I have started a little tradition. On Sunday afternoon when there is nothing to do and all is right with the world, Jake will crawl all over me as I sit on the couch - shoulders back, face, etc. then sleep in my lap on his back so I can stratch his chin.

It is such a relaxing and enjoyable time.

Liat and I had one of those moments Sunday morning. It as a beautiful sunny morning, shining directly into the living room. I parked in the recliner and she stretched out from my thing to my foot in the warmth and looked at me with that "I'm here, what are your plans" look. We sat there for about two hours. I read the paper and she completely relaxed. The only thing missing was music in the background.

Emily and Eddie expect this sort of treatment on pretty much a daily basis. In the morning, it's Emily's time. She prefers to spend it on my shoulder as I read the paper and finish up my coffee. (We have a deal that she must wait until I'm done with breakfast--something about trying to eat with a cat's tail in your face.) She purrs and I talk to her about the news of the day.

Eddie's turn comes in the evening when I sit down to watch some TV. He crawls up on my chest, puts his head on my shoulder, and begins to purr. I turn the sound up so I can hear what I am watching.

We who are owned by Tonks are certainly a well-loved bunch!
