groom you?...Alastair likes to sit on my lap, purr, and clean my arms...so I guess, either he really loves me or is trying to tell me to shower more often...???

My first Tonk, Ricky, used to groom me occasionally. He also liked to give me back rubs. Levi has not started either of those yet, but he is still a baby. He used to groom his brother, little Ricky II though.

On a side note, poor Levi was neutered today. I can't feed him until tomorrow and the poor kitten is so hungry he is knocking things over in his search for food!

Chris has never been a "people groomer", however SkuShi was, but for different reasons than just grooming. I don't know why, but she seems to love the taste of certain hair products and would lick people's hair. Also, I use Clinique Body Butter in the "Happy Heart" scent and SkooshBuns would just lick and lick and lick me forever if I had allowed it. I can't imagine that stuff tasting good.............but.
When Chris gets schmoozy, he'll lick my finger as I'm scratching him under the chin and if he's REALLY schmoozy, he'll give me kisses on my face. Those aren't grooming behaviors and I love kitty smooches.
Can't Levi have ANYTHING to eat? Poor baby!

BREAKFAST CAN'T COME TOO SOON FOR LEVI!

I was told no food after midnight Wednesday for the surgery Thursday, and after the surgery I was told if he was alert he could have water only after 8pm and then food today. I did cheat and give him a few pinches of food at about 10:30 last night because I felt so bad for him. First thing this morning, I gave him a can of wet and a bowl of dry, both are empty!

every so often, my Kleo would lick my eyebrows. Totally a groomer!

my Tonk - Rigby, looooves to lick and kiss me! if i am grooming him - brushing him with my hair brush, he wants to mutually groom me - and lick my hand, and bump my nose-kisses. he turns 1 year old this Monday, but he still nurses on my neck, licking and purring really loud, and little love-bites. but sometimes, when he's just resting in his bed, i start petting him, and he gives me a few licks on the fingers.

awww, talking about them - just makes me adore my fur kids even more!!

Experiencing all of this first hand and knowing that I'm not alone, makes me really laugh when I hear people say cats are nasty, mean aloof pets...

I so love my little furballs too!!!!!

Liat doesn't even bother to ask. She just sticks her nose under the edge and burrows on in.
