Here are some pictures of my rescue cat. No real clue about his past life before he came to me. Most likely he's just a mutt cat but his behavior/temperament remind me of a tonk. He has the aqua eyes (dont show well in pics) and the mink coat too. Anyway...he is gorgeous and he's my baby now here are some pics

What a gorgeous boy you have there. Any idea of his age? What did you name him? Good indicators of Tonkinese cats are that they are heavier than they look, they are rounder than Siamese, and they may be less talkative than Siamese however they are very conversational.
He looks VERY Tonkinese except for the tabby barring on his legs. There could be a tabby ancestor somewhere in his background.
The newest issue of Cat Fancy has a Tonkinese on the cover. Good breed profile except for the fact that they primarily feature platinums and blues, with one champagne and NO natural minks! Harumph!

CONGRATS ON THE NEW TONK KITTY!

He is between 18 months and 2 years old. He has the tonk voice and heavier then he looks attributes, maybe not as round of a head as I would like to SEE on a tonk...but Im sure he isnt a purebred. I just love him to death. His name is Komodo (like the dragon). He is so outgoing and daring, loves to sass my big dogs and isnt afraid of anything! Here is another pic. I love my boy!!!

What a beauty...congrats...He appears very Tonkinese from your photos...The aqua eyes and graduated mink pattern coat are Tonk specific characteristics...resulting specifically from the Siamese/Burmese crossing. (blue plus gold = aqua, Point coat plus solid coat = mink coat pattern)

Another specific Tonk characteristic is the nose...they all have a slighly convex nose shape...with sort of an angled bump...I think it is what makes their faces not appear as long as the other Oriental breeds.

Here's Alastair's profile...

Looks to me like there's a lot of Tonk in that gorgeous boy--and the best part is that he has a good home!!!
Keep those photos coming!

What a pretty boy! i love his colors... he MUST be a Tonk to be taunting the dogs. i just love that attitude! from the way he is sitting on the little boy in your other picture, that move is very tonk as well! such cuddlers.
