Raving Lunatic

TerryB Sep 28, 2006 03:43 PM

Has anyone else's Tonk turned to a raving lunatic As the season changes? Liat has more excess energy than any three other cats a know. Up until a couple of weeks ago she was totally laid back, at least as laid back as a Tonk can be. Now she's running around the house, making enough noise to wake a regiment. I mean, active if fine, but shouldn't she take a break occasionally?

Terry, confused human companion of Liat.

Mine are raving lunatics ALL THE TIME!!!! But they get especially nutty right before it is about to rain...the three of them running and chasing and doing laps around the house, up and down the stairs all their tails fat and fuzzy...I swear Bentley banked the wall in the living room doing about 25mph the other night!!!!

Carol said it perfectly....."feeling furry". That's what we call it at our house; "The kitties are being furry".
Funny comment on the tails....we grade tails: "minimum fluff, medium fluff, full fluff".
I wouldn't doubt a bit that your Tonk "banked" the wall during his careening around the house.
We also call it "thunder foots".....unbelievable how much noise a running Tonk makes. I guess it's all that weight on those dainty little piddies.

AND......THEY'RE OFF!!!!!!

that's funny...We actually call the fluffy tails..."squirrel tail"...and it still amazes me how much noise they make when they run...the other day I heard someone stomping down the steps and honestly assumed it was ShutEye my 75 lb greyhound...but when I looked, Alastair's head popped out from behind the wall...go figure!!!

My tonk Charlie and her big sister Lea (a devon rex) pulled down my curtains at 6am one morning. Needless to say, I was not happy. Their favorit time to run around is also as soon as I turn out the lights to go to sleep. Typical cats, huh?
