Hairballs

Anyone else get excited when a you find a wad of thrown up fur on your floor????

After what we went through with Fin almost a year ago when he had a hairball stuck in his intestines...I could only be overjoyed this morning when my son stepped in a good sized one on my carpet...granted I would have been more excited if the cat could have gone about 6 inches further to the wood floor...but woo hoo...a new sock and a little carpet cleaner is a much better option than another 5 days and a lot of $$$$ at the vet!!!!

Neither Chris or the late SkuShi had problems with hairballs. They always just yakked them up on the floor. SkuShi was much worse than Chris with regard to hairballs.
Yes, of course we'd rather they hurl on the bare floor, however I've had hurling on the carpet, in my shoes, on the bed (where it soaks in clear to the mattress pad). I can't imagine the stress and worry when a hairball causes an intestinal obstruction. I'd rather clean up kitty barf any day of the week rather than have a kitty under go surgery.

GOTTA LOVE THOSE TONKS, EVEN WHEN THEY URP!!

Guess I'm just lucky. Two years and no hairballs.

Emily's Rule:

When one is ready to erp (love that word, Yak--it says it all!!) one should erp where it will do the most damage. At all costs, one is to avoid kitchen or bathroom floors where cleanup is easy. Carpeting is good--the lighter the better. Bedding is best. Unless, of course, one can erp in mom's slippers...

(Obviously I have way too much time on my hands this evening.)
