Big Scare

Alastair went missing last night...after two and half hours of searching the house, neighborhood and all ajacent yards I was forced to go to bed not knowing where he was...needless to say I was a wreck...there are alot of outside cats in my neighborhood and back yard dogs...including a big mean Mastiff next door...and as much as I love him...I am not real confident of Ali's survival skills in the wild.

At about 12:30 something told me to go outside and turn our back screened porch lights on and put some blankets out there...hoping that if he did find his way back he would camp out...

Well, no sooner did I turn the lights on then he came running up the stairs to me...I have never been so relieved.

We are not sure how he got out...but we are really glad he found his way back home!!!!

I am so glad that Alastair is back inside where he belongs!!

I know how upset I would be if either Emily or Eddie got out. I am quite certain they would not have a clue what to do.

Here's hoping now that Alastair has discovered the world outside can be a big scary place he won't be tempted to try that again.
