The learning curve...

2TonksHere Mar 08, 2008 07:56 AM

A little while back I had mentioned that Bentley figured out how to open my lower cabinets...well...things have progressed...

Bentley has taught himself now how to also open the upper cabinets (which is so much more fun for him, since the glasses and dishes are in them) but he has also decided to teach Alastair how to open the lower cabinets...

So, needless to say...at any given time...my kitchen looks like a scene from Poltergiest.

must be a tonk thing! i heard the cabinet open, and it was Rigby! i put some rubberbands around the handles to try and keept them shut.

Izzy on the other hand, figured out how to open my drawers, and sleeps on my sweaters, sometimes throwing them out on the floor. i've had to tape them shut when i leave for trips. lol

Time for a trip to the hardware store or baby store for the child-proof catches for the cabinet doors... might as well get some for the drawers, too as they will figure those out sooner or later. Not a bad idea to put some on the bathroom cabinet doors as well. In this area we also have a lot to choose from as they also market some as earthquake latches.

Too funny! I can just envision Bentley giving pointers to Alastair.

Emily and Eddie both enjoy opening drawers and cabinets, too.
And, when one tackles a new challenge, the other one is right there, lending moral support and learning by observing!

What little smarties we have!!!
