Well it took 10 days, but Bentley is finally over it...
I'm pretty he couldn't even remember what he was so pissed off at anymore...
I let Bentley out of his room this morning...he comes in my room, crouches down...hissing at Finster who is slowly walking toward him...hissing, hissing, growling, hissing, ears flat, hissing...I'm watching closely, ready to separate them if Bentley looks like he's going to strike...Fin keeps walking at him unphased, straight toward him...Bentley's glaring, hiss, hiss, then "bonk", Fin bonks him right on the nose with his nose, threw him completely off his game,...Bentley shakes his head, all confused...he looks at me, then suddenly he starts play wrestling with Fin...Alastair joins...all is good...
So, as a reward Bentley got to stay out and about all day today...he's not back in the "pile" yet...but the aggression is gone...he's still doing a little bit of residual hissing...but it's the Bentley version of the big ape banging on the chest...reminding the other's who's boss...meanwhile...the other two could literally care less who's in charge as long as the hissing stops and the wrestling continues...I'm still going to separate Bentley for one more night...just to be on the safe side...but...I think we are finally home free.
I think next time my husband is in a really bad mood...I'm just going to give him a good "bonk" on the nose!!! Maybe Finster's on to something!!!
