Fin's a Serial Killer

2TonksHere Jul 21, 2008 05:01 PM

I have a cat bed full of random small stuffed animals for the cats to play with...I call them their "babies"...usually I see one of them flipping them up in the air, rolling around with them...the funniest is when Finster takes one of the dog's stuffed bones which is almost as big as him and carries it in his mouth...

Well, for the past few days, Fin's been coming into my room when I'm in there with one of his "babies" in his mouth...dropping it...then walking out...

It took me a little while to figure out he was bringing me his "kill" and I was suddenly soooooo glad they are inside cats!!!...Today I walked upstairs and there were four randomly dropped "babies" in my room...

I'm torn between being really happy about of how much he loves me...and really creeped out!!!

If I were you I'd be happy that's all he does.

Eddie likes to gnaw on his little stuffed animals, and he makes this weird moaning noise as he gnaws.
He generally leaves them in or next to his food dish when they are sufficiently mangled.

Needless to say we go through lots of little stuffed animals...

Bentley does the same thing...mangles the animal's head, pulls out the stuffing and leaves it by the food bowl when he's through...no moaning though...although I am picturing Eddie in my head right now and gettting a good laugh!!!

Alastair has no use for the stuffed animals and instead prefers the living creatures that stray into the screened porch...spiders, moths, wasps...black flies are hours of entertainment...on occassion, I have had to intervene and save a random green lizard...

Liat has been trying to bump ME off since she was a kitten. She pushes things off the headboard and tries to hit me in the head. I have had several close calls with TV remotes and the like.
