The Boy's Room

2TonksHere Sep 09, 2008 08:40 AM

My husband built a small enclosed space in the garage to house the litterbox and the cats' food bowl...there is a cat door from my laundry room for them to access it and a larger door in the garage for me to access it...

So, I have my door open and am refilling the food bowl and adding some more litter...Fin hops in from his door and immediately goes into the litter box...looking at me like..."can I have some privacy please"...

So I close up and go into the laundry room...to find Bentley and Alastair waiting "on line" along the wall by the cat door...Fin comes out...Bentley goes in...Alastair moved closer to the door...I waited...Bentley came out...Alastair went in...

It was pretty amazing...who knew they could be so organized?

Too funny!

I have this vivid image in my mind of Bentley and Alastair in line with their little back paws crossed...

Tonks can be so strange at times!

Charlie used to be such a girl... always following me into the bathroom... cause girls always go together!

When Sina 1st arrived I had her in my bedroom with a brand new litter box, just for her. Well, halfway into her second day with me and she still hadn't used the box I started to get worried... so I brought her into the box my other cat used and she went right away! Silly little girl just didn't get the concept of a litter box that didn't already smell. And she still hates it when her box is completely clean- and she complains loudly to let me know it!

That's really funny that Sina doesn't like a clean litterbox...Bentley is the exact opposite...his litter box must be clean...he's the reason I had to get a fancy automated one, so his hineyness could always have immaculate litter...and he is the one who must pee first in a brand new box...(when I put extra one's out when we go away)

As a matter of fact...that is how I gauge if Bentley is sick or not...I'll give him a box of brand new fresh litter...and if he ignores it...something is definitely wrong...

They really are fascinating little creatures.

Emily is the one in this household that has to pee first.
She can be asleep in the kitty bed in my office, but if she hears me cleaning the litter box in the next room, she's right there.

That story is simply TOO funny. Liat is not particular at all, just so there is a litterbox available. After this weekend we will see how things go, as the kitten comes home Sunday. I expect trouble, being a pessimist at heart. But knowing Tonks, everything will probably be okay.

Dominique is the same way. The litter box is 2 floors down, & the minute she hears that litter being replaced, she's there. So funny!

I wish mine were that polite. Rigby just barges in when Izzy is in there. she runs out all frantic, and rigby just could care less that he interupted 'her time'. lol
