I know not many of you have an Ikea store nearby but I do, and they have this great product that can be converted very cheaply into a cage!

It is a lightweight wood frame for a wardrobe. The sides are PLASTIC CARDBOARD which I will cut off and staple SCREEN to the frame. Its basically a ready made frame for $39

that is pretty darn cool.

Then again..for that price - since you are removing the screen - you could make more of them by just buying the wood yourself and cutting it. You could make at least two of them at that size (wood only)..and you could do it out of a nicer wood.

If you do go with this one - remember to seal the pine.

This is a great idea though for those that dont own wood tools.

Yes, building it from scratch is cheaper, but I have no tools and the simpler the better for me.

Dont forget to seal it.

if you have a lowes or homedepot - they will cut the wood for you. the fee is quite minimal.

I have been getting my materials together to build a cage..and I think Ill abuse that design from Ikea. I like it a lot.
