It's Way Too Quiet Here

CarolEm&Ed Apr 25, 2009 12:11 PM

Okay, this board has been too quiet for too long!

What's everyone been up to?

Emily and Eddie are enjoying all the sounds and smells that come from being able to sit in an open window. (It has finally stopped raining here in Northern Virginia and we are -- finally -- having some beautiful spring weather!)

Its definitely been too quiet!

The only thing I don't like about warmer weather is that Sina sometimes wants to be on top of the blankets, while I prefer to have her under the blankets and in my arms like a teddy bear! She is two and a half now- her face has thinned out a bit, and now she looks more cat than kitten. (Anyone else notice that their tonk kept that baby appearance for a long time?) I have a couple good picture I would like to share, but I can't seem to find my camera cord...

Eddie still has that baby face thing going on, and he's 11.
I think it may be because he's so small -- just 6 1/2 pounds.

Both my cats are small, but Eddie is really little. He got off to a rocky start as a kitten and I'm guessing that had something to do with it. Given that he's a leaper -- when he wants to be on my shoulder he jumps, whether I know he's coming or not and he sometimes misses and winds up hanging off my back -- I am VERY grateful that he's so small. Six and a half pounds hanging there is bad enough; I can only imagine what it would feel like if he were heavier.

the kids just had their annual exam with the new vet. perfect and healthy. apparently the toothpaste they like to eat helps breaks down the plaque when they lick it, even if they don' t always let me get that toothbrush in there....

What a great picture!!
If only I could get my little dentally challenged Emily to go for some toothpaste...
