I have no power. This stinks. I don't like being in scaryville with no power. And I am going to be freezing by morning! I hope it comes back on soon. It is so windy and rainy out. I have three hrs left on my battery. I wish I had thought to plug it in. I think I'll get off until chat time. I want enough battery to play trivia!

Thanks MA. It came back on about 45 mins after we lost it. Maybe an hr I don't know. I am just happy it is back on. I have been reading the books Holes. So much for going to Trivia chat I missed most of it Darn it.
Still pouring and windy out. I wouldn't be surprised if the power goes out again.

So glad to hear it came back on without being off for hours. Hope it didn't get too cold! It has been VERY windy, cold, and rainy here in Northern Maryland.

It is still windy here. The power keeps flickering. I hope it doesn't go out tonight.
And I need to tomorrow afternoon. I am making kitty litter cake for the students' halloween party.

I am glad you said something. The lights were flickering for a couple hours last night and again tonight when I got home. Fairly steadily and annoyingly. All of them. I didn't attribute it to the wind because it is happening so often, but I bet that is what it is. I have a lamp next to my recliner and I couldn't concentrate on TV last night as it flickered constantly. No other appliance seems to be having problems, just all my light fixtures.

Yikes yu guys! Just awful how much we depend on electricity these days...makes ya wonder how folks effur got along without it...but then they didnt have puters and they did have a lot more children, meeheehee

They probably also went to bed earlier. Imagine getting more than 6 hours a night!

That sun up to sun down of the days of old doesn't fly when you work 12 hours a day, but they also were much more physical/manual in their labor and physically more exhausted. Plus, they could eat the meat and potatos as they worked it off during the days...
