This week's burning question is:

Any new year's resolutions going on?

I need to get back to Weight Watchers healthy eating and portion control. I also need to get myself better organized and handle time more wisely!

Oh yeah, gotta loose some weight, and start excercising more. Started last night, did 20 minutes on my stationary bike. If only it came off as easy as it went on,.....

Before I read any replies - mine is to get more exercise and hopefully lose a few pounds. But I really need to get back into the exercise routine again.

Ditto, ditto, and ditto.

Friends of mine are starting a diet program thru a nutritionist and I believe I'll lose some weight by default. We generally go out every Friday and Saturday and they say for a few weeks, that will stop. We'll eat on our own (they'll diet at home) and then we'll meet and socialize at their house after dinner. So, by default, I will eat at home much more healthy. They may sound odd, but I was getting tired of eating out every Fri and Sat (for years now) and was looking to wean away from it.

I'm not going to lie - my butt is getting bigger and I'm not doing a thing about it.

I quit working Nov. 1 to become a stay at home mom and I'm bored, bored, bored. So I eat. When I married, I moved to a neighborhood without so much as sidewalks, much less the fantastic wooded trails I use to have. I quit working weekends on a horse farm the day I found out I was pregnant. This weekend we are going out to see a house with acreage; I'm hopeful.

I've never made a new year's resolution before, but maybe this was the year I should have, huh?

LOL. As I mention in my post, I may lose by default. Don't think I am running out there to join in with them. LOL

I don't do resolutions, either. They tend to work for two weeks to two months and then fizzle. You have to be really, really serious and set goals to make them work...

Eating is such a social activity. And it's amazing how fast the best intentions can go to pot in a group setting. How many times in your life have you asked for a little piece of cake only to be served with a slab big enough to feed a family of four for a day? And once it's in your face, what are the chances you're not going to eat it all?

Big Scary Man and I are in a constant dance over food. He swears I dodn't eat enough despite plenty of evidence around my middle that I eat too much. Trying to be polite, we each insist the other eat the last bite. I think he drowns toast in butter and jam, he thinks I use so little why bother? When we spend all day together I ususally wind up losing many of these interactions - and eating an extra couple hundred calories to boot. Ugh!

I plan to eat better, exercise more, and get better organized so that I have more time to enjoy my hobbies.

Well, I've said I was losing weight every year now for several and haven't done it. Perhaps this will be the one. I truly would like to not be this large when the ol'decade birthday rolls around later this year.

Oh, and I hope you do get the acreage. Not only do I think you'd love it but think it would be healthier. When I married and moved into town, I really packed on the weight since no chores or outside work to be done.

Maybe I'll just resolve to not add to any of the clutter around here. That would be a help.

Hope it's a good year for everyone, whatever their desires!

Am I like the only one who doesn't have a resolution to exercise or eat healthier? Not that I don't need to do it....cause I do....I just don't like to make it a resolution.

My resolutions/goals this year are to get a bit more organized around the house (not counting kids toys, those are just a fleeting moment and soon there will be no toys), to read more, and to get all my photos into scrapbooks once and for all.

And my main reason for not including diet or exercise into my resolutions is that I learned years ago that I needed to set obtainable ones...ones that I can reach within the or even a few months. Then at the end of the year I won't feel bad that I didn't complete it. Anytime I put weightloss or exercise as one I never complete and feel horrible over it. So I decided no more. But I'll be the first to cheer everyone else on in their resolutions!

Now there is one worth doing! I spend lots of time printing out photos, writing thank you notes and letters about the baby but somehow our photo album has next to nothing in it! All that effort seems to be for other people, not our little family group. Hmmm....

Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, just break them anyway, gave up on resolutions long ago

Mine is to floss. I always think Oh i'll just do it in the morning. Well I need to start doing it twice a day. I use tartar control mouth wash, but I think I need to use floss to.

Also, since everyone else is doing it lol. I need to start exercising again. When I got the job up north I didn't find a new gym so I haven't gone in a while. I would like to at least do some simple exercises in the house. Also, I would like to eat more healthy. Which may be hard to do since I am picky (Just ask Tessie).

De clutter and get the scrapbooks caught up. I started scrapbooking when the kidlet was 4 and I am almost done with his age 4 book now so only 3 and 1/2 years behind now.
