more on tattoo tweaking

ThreeCalicos Jan 09, 2007 09:54 PM

For those of you who remember me "tweaking" old friends about having a tattoo on my back (posts in December, I think).......
really missed my chance but I think the farce is still going okay. MOL

Last week, the other woman of the e-mail group from highschool (haven't seen in decades) was in my area so we met for dinner.
As we were walking to our cars afterwards, just at dark, she said something about my tattoo. I made a motion like I was going to pull up the back of my shirt and she started laughing. Then, I said, "Well, now you'll never know." She said she'd
e-mail the guys she'd seen it anyway. I just shrugged.

Then, as she was getting into her truck, she looked over and said, "You know, after visiting with you a couple of hours, I'm not too sure you don't have one." I just grinned.

Here's where I messed up........If I'd only thought ahead of time
to have DH draw part of one that would show above my waist
band, I could have flashed that and she would have gone for it.

Still, she did e-mail (and sent it to all) that my tattoo was
great and she was glad I'd gotten it in a place that didn't wrinkle badly with age. Then she added that she wished she was
as adventuresome as I.

Just thought I'd share this laugh, especially with KittyRomeo.

Obviously, it doesn't take much to amuse me! A temporary one would have been so perfect, though. LOL

Hope everyone's new year is off to a good start.

You kept up the ruse in a face to face conversation? Over hours? You budding little con artist! I would have burst out laughing at some point, but you kept your cool! And convinced another person to support your story? oh my! You ARE good!

You've played with this so long I think you should reward yourself. See if any shops in your area do henna tattoos and get one. They were once given to women on their wedding nights to symbolize their binding with another person - maybe Dear Hubby would get a kick out of this as well? A little something aobut you only he'd get to see? But take a picture - I get the feeling you'd relish this one too long not to!

..and about that straight face trick - have you ever thought about taking up poker? I get the feeling you could clean up on a bluff.....

Oh, NO, didn't keep it up over hours. And definitely no poker face here. My laughing eyes generally give me away. (Although I am better than DH who can't keep any secrets!) LOL It just worked out that we were walking to the car at dusk and she mentioned it. I wasn't about to say, "Oh, I was lying about that." Her adding to the story was just great, though!
The henna tattoo might be fun but probably wouldn't even do that unless the mood hit me.
Thanks for sharing my laughs, though. It's been so fun!

(Oh, and it's been years since the terms "budding" or "little" could be applied to me! ROFLMAO

>>You ARE good! >> Why, thank you!
