Snow in Texas

cyclopsgrl Apr 07, 2007 05:01 PM

Mom called a bit ago. They live in the Copperas Cove/Killeen, Texas area... She and my niece woke up from a short nap and looked out the window. They have 1/2 an inch of snow on the ground. My 4 year old niece had never seen snow and had asked about it... She was able to go out and play in it... It will be gone soon, but we were tickled she got to see it.

They have bad ice storms in that area, but rarely snow... The last time I remember them having measurable snow was when my other neice was probably about 6, about 6 years ago... She'd never seen it at that time... She too is seeing it again today...

Did you guys get any in your area of Texas, MA?

We didn't have snow, but it was sure cold Easter morning. The priest joked about "Merry Christmas" in his sermon. Most of the people in the choir said they were not wearing what they had planned to wear.

Mom said they wound up with 4-6 inches by Easter Morning. Up to 50 later in the day and melted most of it, but the kids had a great time in the morning with the very uncommon snow...
