OK, until one of you unplugs my computer, I'll scratch my head for topics... Please pop some on here yourself...

Do you dog-ear your books (fold the corner) or use a bookmark?

I use a bookmark. I loaned a new hard-bound book to a friend a couple years ago and it came back with coffee rings on it and dog-eared corners.

Even dinged up used ones, I use a bookmark... I do know a lot of folks that dog-ear, tho...

Bookmark, though not an "official" one. Uusally a scrap of paper or old envelope. Never one of the "fancy" ones. LOL
Only thing I dog-ear are ads from the paper when I want to remember which pages have things I want to clip.

Bookmark, even if it's just a kleenx pulled from the box on the nightstand

I get irked too when people return my books beat up - if they treat borrowed property that way, how do they treat their own stuff? I don't make enough money to treat things with a "I'll just replace it..." attitude!

Bookmark. I don't like ratty looking books either.

If it is a good book, definetely the bookmark. This summer I am reading garbage, so that gets dog-eared.
