We break it up here - I'm in charge of the kitchen M-F and Big Scary Man takes over most weekends. But I prefer it when he sticks to things like grilling - yesterday I had to gently steer him to a cookbook. Punky and I have colds so he wanted to make us chicken noodle soup - with shrimp and broccoli tossed in.

Neither of us cooks much, but over the years my husband has cooked more than I have.Mostly our idea of cooking consists of microwaveable dinners and pizza. I don't do any baking at all; never had the inclination. My mother loved to cooked, but it wasn't passed on to me. LOL

If there is cooking done, it would be me as the step kids are long grown and my better half passed away many years ago. So it is just me and the furkids and they don't seem inclined to cook. I usually eat my big meal at work for lunch and in the evenings it is just soup and sandwich or something easy. I do cook some of my favorite's once in a while

Stanley and Pookey refuse to cook, as they can eat the same dry food day after day and can't understand my need for diversification.
I usually cook a big meal on Sunday (meatloaf, roast chicken, pot roast, pork roast, soups/chili, something...) that I can divide up into 3 or so meals (plus the one I eat on Sunday) and eat during the week. I eat at home Sunday thru Thursday, 5 days. I have the leftovers about 3 times and the other two weeknights I'll make something easy like broiling salmon in the oven with a veggie on the side... I work long days, so I like leftovers and easy prep items (sometimes all I want is a sandwich or bowl of cereal).
Fridays and Saturdays I usually go out with friends for dinner...

Pam does most of the cooking around here. Since it seems like I spend most of my life on one diet or another, I don't really cook or eat that much.

I am lucky, and married a man who likes to cook (makes a giant mess when he does though). He will do the fancy stuff, I just throw chicken legs in the oven or do hamburgers on George Forman grill. My house boy is also retired, so he should cook!
Being single, I do the cooking, though usually just on my days off..the rest of the time its soup and sandwhiches
