i have been rehabilitating two turtles. and painted turtle and a common snapper and i was wondering if it is to late to release them into the wild.

i have been rehabilitating two turtles. and painted turtle and a common snapper and i was wondering if it is to late to release them into the wild.
depends where you live but it seems like the answer is probbaly yes (as in, "yes its IS too late). Turtles have home ranges and when dispalced they spend time trying to figure out where they are. It may get cold before they bed down. Plus they need time to acclimate to the chnaging temps to get used to not eating and then have a clear gut for hibernation.

i am in spencer mass. i will wait until next spring to let them go.
