Who watches Soap Operas?

I started watching the ABC Soaps (All My Children, One Life to Live, General Hospital) in the early 80s as a teen into the late 80s (shift work). I went to day shift in the early 90s and decided to keep up with just one of the tree soaps. Picked All My Children.

Have been watching All My Children for about 25 years now... Tape it during the day and zip thru it in about 30-40 minutes in the evenings...

Before I started working, I used to watch General Hospital and Dark Shardows in the 60s.

I used to watch Dark Shadows (Quentin got his name from there), and The Young and the Restless. I also liked Dallas. I haven't watched any soaps in a long time, though.

I saw commercials w/guys steamy in bath towels... I would suspect soap is involved in the shower, maybe not... So, yes, I am thinking soap opera material... LOL

OH yes! Love All My Children, how come Erica still looks so young, One Life to live, yesterday they buried Asa Buchanan, sigh, now that makes me feel old. And General Hospital, very lively show these days, though not a lot to do with the hospital anymore..I find it fascinating to see how the characters and storylines have evolved over the years...

I started watching The Young and the Restless with my great grandmother in the early 80's. I always watched it on vacations and summer break. Than in college I made sure I didn't have classes at the same time. I hadn't watched it in a long time until one night a few months ago when I was really bored. It was on the Soap Channel haha. I watched it for three hours! So I am pretty sure I'm all caught up. I'll watch it again in a few month!
