Three. One in the living room, one in my bedroom, and one in my second bedroom/computer room. For years I only had one in the living room, but in the last 5 or so years, I have added the other two smaller ones and enjoy having them... Don't know how I lived without them... The one in the bedroom helps me fall asleep and the one in the computer one is fun to watch when I am on the computer...

Ditto all that! Not that any of them are big or fancy, though.

Two - one in the master bedroom and one in the living room. I'd banish the one in the bedroom if I thought I had a snowball's chance of winning the battle. I just can't sleep with it on!

Four. One upstairs in the foyer for the grandkids. One in the living room. One in my bedroom and one in the family room.

Meow!! Meow!! Meow!! Meow!!

How wonderful to do nothing and then rest afterwards. Meow!

Ohh, feel sorry for you! Can't sleep with it on, either!! Only time I have the bedroom one on is if I'm watching a show separately or to watch weather. It's not for sleeping hours.

I can't even nap with the TV on. I've found if I turn it on at bedtime, when I get drowsy, I turn it off and can roll over and go right to sleep; it definately helps me get to sleep quicker.

My Dad has it cranked in the house when I visit and I can hear it thru the wall with the door shut... Put a pillow over my head... My Step-Mom bought him a special pair of headphones (the big bun looking kind that cover the entire ear) that works with the TV remotely (no wire) and he can adjust the volume as loud as he likes and the TV can be muted in the room... Can't wait to see if it works when I next visit... Her friend bought one for her husband and it saved the marriage. LOL This works best in the recliner vs. bed, tho.

My Mom also has to sleep with it on. It is on all night long when I visit there, too, but far enough away I can't hear it thru a shut door...

You have it bad if BSM likes to sleep with it on and you are a TV off person...

Oh, it's worse than that - there are thousands of movies I've never seen because they make me too wired to sleep. Dad use to encourage us kids to remember our dreams because he thought it was part of our creative mind, and talk about them over the dinner table. So if I'm on the cusp of sleep when BSM turns off the TV, whatever is happening on screen might wind up in my dreams. I've run marathons, been carjacked, tried to banish half demon cats(?!) all in my sleep. I wake up exhausted. No TV? No problems.

BSM finds all this fascinating - he'll sometimes hang out in the bedroom in the morning waiting for me to start mumbling about whatever I was seeing just before he woke me.

Linda Hamilton had that problem in the 80s with Ron Perlman (Beauty and the Beast).

What a fascinating thing to be able to recall dreams so well. I am kind of jealous, I can't do it and wish I could... but enough about me and pre-Katie-wierdness Tom Cruise...

By the way, I was influenced to pick Tom Cruise in my last post as I am watching VH1s Greatest Hits of the 80s and "Take My Breath Away" was playing while I typed it out -- lots of "Top Gun" shots... I almost went with Val Kilmer in the post...

ummmmm dare I admit this? 5... but only two work. One in my den/office and a small, ancient black & white in my bedroom that hasn't been on in 2 years. I just need to corral one of my nephews to haul the dead ones to the next electronics recycle day.
