Flaky as usual.....a two-parter

ThreeCalicos Aug 23, 2007 08:35 AM

These occurred to me as I watched DH carefully shake out the last Cheerio from the box, avoiding getting any of the powder.

1) Do you just dump the cereal in your bowl when you're finishing off a box or do you also avoid the "cereal dust?"

2) Have you ever mixed remanents of cereal boxes for a new taste
concoction?

1) Unlike, DH, I just dump it in the bowl. Or, if I'm having yogurt, dump dust and all onto that.

2) I used to love to do this but have gotten out of the habit after marrying a cereal purist.

I usually just dump the contents in the bowl. I do sometimes mix cereals if I don't have enough of one to make a whole serving.

Dump with dust and all...

If I have a small amout of one cereal, I'll usually eat that, then refill the bowl with a little more of a new kind... Don't really mix them, might have when I was younger and more reckless.

I can't drink milk so I eat ceral like potato chips - just grab a handful. When it gets dusty, I'll give the last little bit to the squirrels. It helps maintain peace in the house - if Stink is busy hunting squirrels, she isn't hunting Annie. A serving of Cheerios is a small price to pay for a peaceful house.

I avoid cereal dust and I have never even thought about mixing cereals but doubt if I'd like it. My favorite cereal is Cheerios.

I tried cereal dust once but have since avoided it. I occasionally mix two kinds of cereal like raisin bran and corn flakes or shredded wheat and corn flakes. It makes for a different taste.
