What makes you fearful that you know you shouldn't be afraid of?

parking garages. In the movies its where the guy gets gunned down, the girl gets kidnapped from - Seinfeld even got lost for hours in one looking for a space to park.

I knew this was nuts, so for years I had a dentist whose office used a parking garage just so twice a year I would have to face my fear and park in one!

#1 is Sharks. No question. "Jaws" deeply scarred me for life. I will stand on the beach and look at the salt water vice stick my foot in... Unnatural fear... If I land on the Discover Channel during Shark Week, I have to quickly click off... I'll laugh in the face of Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween type movies, but you put the original "Jaws" on and the blood drains from my face and I sit frozen trying to not pee myself. You can maybe outrun or hide from Freddy Kruger, you won't out swim a Great White...

I also have a fear of drowning in my car (not being able to get out)...

Let me tell you, driving over the Florida Keys bridge brought both fears to life -- drowning in my car, or, if I happen to get out, whew!, then a Great White shows up... It is a bridge I didn't care for, LOL. My fears didn't stop me, but it was tense.

Majore issues with water, you could say... But, since both scenarios are pretty unlikely, I don't any more realistic fears I can think of. I do pretty well with heights... Tended to be the only one in the group that will easily climb a tower or hanger to install equipment when I was younger... I've found more friends with a fear of heights or flying in an airplane than any.

I'm scared of bees. I don't remember ever being stung by a bee, but the thought of it frightens me. I can't explain why since I never had a bad encounter with one.

Can't think of anything particular that I'm frightened by (not counting the innumerable idiots that are taking over the roads, weaving all over while on their phones, etc.) Animals, insects, heights, water, no problem (although not crazy about dark water)

The one thing that has begun to really worry me is there is a high curving overpass in one section of a highway here that I've avoided the past two yearss IF I am driving. (Riding is okay) When driving, I have to talk to myself and concentrate to not just drive off it. Something about the angle of the curve and not seeing anything but space ahead. Have never had this sensation anywhere else, ever, and no idea why it's happened.
Coming "backwards" on it is not a problem since going from the high part down to street level. Luckily, there are lots of other ways to get places without going over that so I always take the alternate routes. Totally irrational!!!!!

Add in heights and dentists. I am completely terrified of both.

Can I pick all of the above?

Ok
1) spiders
2) the dark
3) ocean boat drowning
4) floating in the water (lake) waiting for the boat to come back after falling during water skiing or tubing.
5) heights

I'm sure I have a bunch more.
