The albino P.m.melanolucus that I posted pic of below laid 10 eggs yesturday.I bought this male neonate, at the IRBA show in 2000.I took the word of the breeder of it being a male,I did not buy a mate for it (no money).Well my snakes are kept in the 2nd bedroom of my house, and this past winter he startes slowing down, even though the heat was still on.So I turned the lights off on his cage.I made sure to always check his weight to make sure he was not withering away, and he mwas doing just fine. This spring he became more active so I turned his lights back on.He ate like a pig and looked nice and robust as always.Well shucks yesturday I came home and "HE" had laid 10 eggs.My bad for not double checking the sex of my snake before I bought it,but what I really think about is this,do snakes really need that big of a temp drop to cycle? Remember she was still in my snake room. The ambiant temp was still around 70-72 during the day,and a little cooler at night, maybe 67-68 or so.food for thought
