Do you drink bottled water? Any particular reasons why or why not? What are your opinions on it?

I don't drink it, personally, except on airplanes if that's the only possibility. Consider it one of the all-time great cons foisted on the public.
In addition to being a huge waste of resources and a gigantic industry (read money-maker for the companies who don't care about anything but their bottom line), there are no controls on it. According to what I've heard on NPR and other places, the water can come from anywhere. Sometimes, it's even tap water from that area, just put into plastic bottles and then sold.
Although I know people in certain states/areas need to use it since their tap water is actually only fit for bathing, and the military need it in parts of the world, most of it's sold to people who think they're getting something special.

We drink it due to nitrate problems in our local water source. From the start of planting season to about the end of June, we are at risk. And then there are the sewage overruns during heavy spring rains because the sewage and water systems are so old here....and the frequent water line breaks....

It's just this side of town. Before I married, it wasn't an issue, I was on a different reservoir, better maintained pipes.

I never kept it stockpiled until the rolling blackout that affected much of the east several years ago. It was so hot and if my parents didn't already have a couple of cases in the basement, they would of had no water at all.

And there is always a bottle in the diaper bag incase we are stuck someplace where only soda is available. But I'm bending to social stigma - it is so awkward to have a low sugar kid who doesn't eat or even recognize common "kid's meals" as food.

I drink tap water and bottled water. I like the bottled so I can take it with me in the car. No healthy or environmental reason

Tap water, primarily. Around the house, in restaurants (with a lemon wedge)... I have gotten water from the faucet at work for years, but in the past few days when I filled my cup up to heat water for tea, I've seen black flecks floating in the water. Not appetizing. So, starting this morning, I pay $3 a month for water from the water cooler...

I buy a case of bottled water, but it lasts a long time. I take a bottle with me to work for lunch (cant get it free, and they charge $1.50 for one)but refill it every morning. Do the same with the other bottles, and after a while it gets tossed. The new refigerator we got a few years ago has a built in water thingy , not on the door, so it is like getting bottled but it is really tap.

About a year ago I gave up drinking a lot of soda. I will still have some on occasion. But I switched to one of the sparkling waters with fruit essence. No sugar, no artificial stuff. I have to say, I don't miss the soda and this is about a fifth the cost of a similar sized bottle of soda.

I drink tap water, though I'm not really sure about its safety considering we have a couple superfund sites here and a well or two has been closed because of pollution, but I haven't started glowing yet...
