Movie night

Since we are all surfing channels during the writer's strike, what movies have you watch and liked (or hated) that you would have missed if you were on your normal viewing schedule?

Big Scary Man found a old James Garner western with more bad puns than comedy night at Mensa - knowing there was nothing else on, we watched it - and liked it despite ourselves. Just wish we had caught the whole thing.

I've been watching more movies on TV than I normally would.

I caught the two new Nora Roberts movies on Lifetime ("Angel Falls" and "...something... Montana, maybe?", I can't remember). Watched them more because she is a local. Constantly see and hear of her in this area -- one of my friends is in a property dispute with her and another is her nephew, LOL. Don't care for her books as a rule, but was curious to catch the movies. They were pretty good -- John Corbet was in one and Heather Locklear was in another, good solid actors.

I caught the newest "Batman (Begins?)" (2005) installment and "The Fantastic Four" (2005).

Movies I normally never would have caught. All were good, "Fantastic Four" probably the least good of the batch.

I did see Delta Burke has a new one on Hallmark that looks good, "Bridal Fever" they've been advertising a lot that looks like it might be cute.

Ditto in this house, as well as catching Laura Croft 2-3 times, and an earlier Batman movie. Last night was the latest "War of the Worlds", the night before a Tommy Lee Jones movie where a plane full of convicts crashed.

I've been annoyed because there seems to be way too much about UFOs the last week or two. Like its a bad thing if I turn off the television - but you'd think they could dig up something better from the vaults.

I recently watched "Mr and Mrs. Smith". on FOX. It was quite entertaining. I like Angelina Jolie's acting and even though not really a Brad Pitt fan, I enjoyed the two of them together.
