spring?

ThreeCalicos Feb 12, 2008 01:32 PM

Was in a surburb today where they've planted daffodils in a row down the grass on the sides of a main street. The little plants have leaves up about three or so inches. Spring's a'comin'!!!

(Last year was the first time these had bloomed. I think the daffodils were a great idea but it would have been so much prettier if they'd grouped them or even broken up the lines or made them slanted........whatever. As it is, looks like some poor guy made sure his line was straight and went down entire blocks. No imagination or artistic view or character!)

Any signs of spring in your area?

Lots of snow/sleet. Nasty weather here (Northern Maryland). Hit this afternoon thru tomorrow. No signs of spring here...

Spring??? Nope not here. We had a day of ice, sleet, rain and snow and icy roads. No signs of spring for us.

Yep.........Knew you northerners were still getting it hard.
Just wanted to remind you that spring really will come 'round.

(Personally, I don't see how you guys stand the cold weather.
I'm a wimp when we even get a few days of ice. Couldn't live where the ground gets covered and stays that way all winter! You've all got to be super tough!!!!)

Spring?? We are in the middle of the ice storm Aunt Theresa sent from Colts county! It snowed, then rained, then froze.. What a mess!!!
Did get my tickets for the Boston flower show the other day,so there is hope!

We had 57 degrees one day a week or so ago, and bitter cold since. the maple in the back yard has started to bud - and is covered in a glaze of ice.
