Al and my dream

3coolcats Feb 18, 2008 05:33 PM

Hubby stayed up late playing a computer game. No biggie, he does this often. But last night I had a very vivid dream of him coming to bed and me sitting up and saying "Don't touch Al. He's my cat. Leave him alone."

This morning when I got up hubby says to me "Man you were mean last night!" I asked him what I meant. Apparently Al had joined me in bed and I had rolled over and was petting him in my sleep. When hubby came to bed, I sat up and said "Don't touch Al! He's my cat! Leave him alone!" and then I pulled Al closer to me. He said I wasn't very nice as I was saying all that.

We sure had a good laugh over that one.

MOL! Showing your possessive streak,huh?
That's a really cute story and Al probably liked it, too.

Yep, totally showing that possessive side of me. LOL!
Funny thing is that tonight on the way home from a family outing, hubby said, "Oh I forgot to tell you how funny it all was about you yelling at me about Al when I came to bed. This morning when he started to knock things off the dresser and be a pest about breakfast at 5:30 in the morning, you rolled over, kicked me and told me to get up...that he was my cat!" So apparently when Al is lovey dovey he's my cat and when he's annoying he's hubby's cat. And I have no clue about all this cause I'm asleep when it's all said. ROFL!

Teehee. I wonder if Al stuck his tongue out at his Daddy as he got snuggled closer.

I wouldn't put it pass Al to stick his tongue out. He can give looks when he feels like it.

Very cute story! I am just glad you didn't yell out, "Don't touch Fabio. He's my stud-muffin. Leave him alone..." in the middle of your dream state...

I am ROFL here over that Fabio one! My husband said to make sure to tell you all that when I was pregnant with Katelyn I had a very R rated dream about his friend Mike and called out Mike's name in my dream along with some moaning and groaning. Of course he keeps forgetting that when I was pregnant with Laura I sat up talking in my sleep "No Mike! Not again! Get out of my dream! I want to dream about Clark!" Guess subconsciously it really bothered me about the first dream that I wasn't going to let it happen again. LOL!

MOL With your dream-talking, you surely would never make it as a spy! Good thing you opted for an honest, regular life!

BSM once thrashed around half the night only to roll over and look me dead in the eye, growling loudly "You IDIOT!"

He'd been on a motorcycle ride that day with a guy who paid no attention to traffic, or the other riders in the group nearly wiping out one biker.

LOL! I bet that startled you a little. My hubby says that if he's asleep and I talk in my sleep it startles him a bit. But if he's awake then he has fun laughing. I've told him plenty of times that he shouldn't laugh too hard because I've actually had conversations with him when he talks in his sleep. I was up so often getting sick when I was pregnant with Katelyn. I remember one night in his sleep every time I got up he'd say "Where are you going?" After about the fifth time knowing he was asleep I answered "Going out with my boyfriend, he's more fun." Hubby answered "What? You're a meanie." and then went right back to snoring. I had to rush into the bathroom and bury my face in a towel so he wouldn't wake from me laughing so hard.
