You Will Not Believe This (Fruit Part 2)

cyclopsgrl Mar 08, 2008 05:16 PM

I was at the lab this morning having blood drawn for an upcoming appt and picked up a health magazine...

Right before they called my name, I saw an article encouraging people to try unusual or less common fruits... It was a series they had been running and it covered Fruits from S to Z...

S was Star Fruit
T was Tangelos

and then they called my name... I scanned the rest quickly as I stood up and they didn't have fruit for all the letters (the end of the alphabet is tricky), but did see Valencia Oranges for V...

Star Fruit and Tangelos, LOL!

How funny!! And, I swear, I didn't read any articles about them prior to the post! Would be an interesting list!

It stopped me in my tracks making me think I should have bought a lottery ticket as the odds were slim they would run the same article as our random conversation with the same fruit...

It was a series of articles they apparently had run in the magazine over the past X number of monthly editions, and this particular issue had the "S to Z" fruits only. Unfortunately, the end is the trickiest part of the alphabet with more difficult letters, so not all letters had fruit associated to them. They also called my name to come back right shortly after I found and started the article, so I saw Star Fruit, Tangelos, and scanned really quickly as I headed to the back room and saw Valencia Orange, some blanks, then I had to pay attention to where I was going so I didn't run into a bank of chairs...

People must have thought I was really engrosed in a boring Health magazine, shouting out out, "HOLY CARP-A-ROLI!!!" in the calm reception area, walking into furniture, and knocking over oxygen tanks as I headed back to the lab...
