Old question, made new again

It's been nearly a year I think since this question came up - what are you reading these days?

Recently finished "My Father's Secret War" about a woman's quest to learn what her father did in WWII. Not the book I was hoping it would be, but a good read I've recommended a few times.

Also have had "Many Are the Crimes: McCarthyism in America" by Ellen Schrecker checked out of the local library for the last five weeks. Very densely footnoted, the copy I have was previously (and very passionately!) marked up. With little time to read, I've only read a few chapters. Maybe a return to light-weight fiction is in order....

This time of the year I like light reading, something that the brain can stay in neutral (unless it's a darn good book!). Finished "Shopaholic and Sister" by Sophie Kinsella. Fun book, laugh out loud funny! Can't believe that my book table is empty, need to reload!

I've gone mindless of late. I got a free subscription to TV Guide and read the articles and that is about my speed weekly, LOL. Working some really long hours and wiped out in the evenings. Have good intentions to start a book. I will probably take a mystery on the plane with me next week when I head to Texas to visit family for a week...

I just finished reading "The Blue Nowhere" by Jeffrey Deaver.
It's a very interesting, though scary novel about a computer hacker who infiltrates people's lives through the internet, finds out information about them, then kills them. The novel goes into depth about computer programs and how they work, but in a way that is understandable. It makes one realize just how powerful computers can be.

This is always a good question!

I have been going through my book collection and am re-reading some of my favorites........Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson mainly.

I read way too many books to share all of them. But I just read a great book. For anyone who loves the Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery then you've got to read this new book I bought recently. Before Green Gables by Budge Wilson. I loved, loved, loved it.

Next up I'm going to be reading the April selection for my book club. The Appeal by John Grisham. I've never read any of his books before so this should be interesting.
