Tuckered in Texas

cyclopsgrl Apr 23, 2008 09:45 AM

Well, got in safely Saturday night, great Sunday with my Mom, nieces, family, went to bed Sunday and woke up with a nasty stomach virus. Eating bland foods and running down the hall with no notice all week long. Not able to leave the house and staying away from everyone as much as I can. HOPE to have this figured out by the time I fly home Saturday. Mom picked up some OTC meds last night. No effect so far, but need to give them time. Fortunately, only the one symptom, but not a pleasant one. The weather is amazing when I venture to the porch, LOL. 80s and 90s...

Wow, now that does not sound like much fun. At least you had one day of fun. Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy another day

That was not the Texas two-step you were supposed to learn!
Sympathies for that miserable symptom and hope you're better today. Too bad you haven't been able to go jeans shopping. Maybe today! No more sickness!! Katc

Thanks all.

I know -- my non-stretch denim mission was thwarted. I hope I can get out tomorrow, my last day. The meds did finally kick in. Things were better last night/overnight. Not going to overdo it today, not quite 100%. At this rate, I should be able to meet up with other family some tomorrow (want one more day before running around and potentially exposing them) and be safe to fly on Saturday without worry.

Yay!

I made it out a little on Friday. Stretch jeans only. I spoke to my Mom and my almost-sister-in-law-mother-of-my-nieces and both said stretch jeans are predominant in Texas stores for women. If the cowboy state has sold out, not much luck elsewhere...

If a person really wanted to search them out, I am sure you can find some non-stretch in any state. But, if you want to pick up a pair while you are out on an normal shopping run one Saturday, it seems stretch jeans have taken over the shelves everywhere...
