A nice day here. Who can complain when it's 60 and sunny on Christmas Day! Also hope everyone had a day of good times, health, and the approaching new year is a wonderful one for all creatures of all numbers of legs and fur lengths.

Merry Day After Christmas! I spent the day/night in Philadelphia with my Cousin and her family (four children under the age of 11).

I told them not to get me anything, but for the kids to get Pookey toys and treats. The kids had a blast picking stuff out for him and he is very happy (I hinted to make sure the toys had catnip in them). He is on a Christmas "High" right now.

I hope everyone had a nice Christmas. I had to work until 2;30, then we had dinner when i got home. My husband and I are going to wait until after Christmas to exchange gifts.
I got Star and Quentin some catnip and each a toy catnip pillow. They had a party with it. I have to supervise them when I give them catnip, though. Quentin tries to steal Star's portion and will push her out of the way to get it. He gets quite excited and aggressive on catnip, whereas Star is more mellow and just rolls around.
We had a bad ice storm last week, and finally things are getting back to normal. Over 100,000 in our area lost power, some of them for several days. We were lucky in that we didn't lose any, just had our lights flash on and off a few times. Then temperatures were in the single digits and that made the side roads and walks ice covered. For awhile the main roads were bad, also.
Today is suppose to be about 60 degrees, so everything has melted. I plan to get out and check some sales.
This past week, we didn't have much snow, it was all ice and sleet. I'm glad that the worst weather is over for now.

I was glad to get back to work today just to rest. I cooked for and fed 13 for Christmas Day and cooked and fed 18 yesterday. My house just does not hold that many people very well but it was nice to have most of our children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren home during Christmas. However Boris does not share this sentiment at all. He hid in my closet both days and only came out after we went to bed!
