breeding/eggs/etc Please Read!!

Ok. I had THOUGHT Orion had laid her eggs on Sunday b/c she was up basking and her colours were different. I looked around in the sand and found no eggs, then realized she was still pretty fat.
Today she was up basking when I checked in and she also came towards me looking hungry, so I gave her a wax worm and she ate it, and she also ate two superworms. There are still no eggs. I changed the sand to soil today, that's when I was checking on her and she ate. she still looks pretty round.
I'm checking my plants after I write this to make sure she didn't lay in them. I was just wondering: If a female doesn't lay for a week and a bit after she stops eating, will she start to eat again? She was bred Sept 17, so it hasn't been quite a month yet. She was digging last week though... I don't know what to make of this!!
Thanks for any imput!
~Lindsay
PS, how big will the eggs be once she lays them?

I still don't know what to tell you about her. If it's only been a month though, I wouldn't worry yet. Veiled eggs are actually pretty big, much bigger than panther eggs. They're probably 3/4 inch long. I've got some pics of both I can send you if U want. By the pics, though, it's probably hard to tell the size. If she's eating and still alert and drinking, don't worry. Keep doing what you're doing. If she was digging then at least you know that she knows she has a place to lay when the time comes. I still prefer to put the female into another conatiner and this has worked every time for me so far (besides my current Nosy Be female who is being stubborn and may or may not be egg bound). I've got a Sambava female who is due to lay TODAY, so we'll see how it goes. She's not crawling yet though. She stopped eating a few days ago. Give her a little time not all female veileds lay in 20 days. From the time mine bred, to the day she laid her eggs was probably close to 25-28 days. From the day she got her gravid colors to the day she laid I think was 19.

How large are panther eggs?

Not very big at all maybe a half inch long.... Probably a little bigger than the "Jelly Belly" (small) jelly beans. That's what they reminded me of.
