I was in a pet shop today holding a baby kitten and this woman asked if it was a male and right away the man behind me said no its a female it has 3 colors so that automatically means its a female and theres no way around it. Is that true????

Below is a link to an article that explains the color genetics. Most cats with red, black and white (Calico) are female. However, a brown, black and white cat could very well be a male.
